About the Role
The Operations Manager is an administrative professional who is in charge of the day-to-day operations of an organisation in order to improve performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability by implementing effective methods and strategies. Managers are usually in charge of receiving, storing, and delivering items in order to keep inventory and supplies in order. They are also in charge of security and employee supervision.
The typical responsibilities include:
Ensure that all workings are manufactured correctly, cost-effectively, and on time in accordance with specifications and quality requirements.
At all times, ensure that visitors and employees are entering a clean and safe environment that meets the company's health and safety standards as well as local rules and regulations.
Identify and improve operational systems, processes, and best practises that ensure organisational well-being.
Purchase materials, plan inventory, and keep the warehouse running smoothly.
Contribute to the achievement of the company's strategic and operational goals
Examine financial data/statements and use them to boost profits.
Deliver consistent performance against key customer satisfaction targets and conduct daily/weekly KPI reviews
Human resource recruitment, training, supervision, and evaluation
Attend to the needs of clients or employees.
Requirements
Previous operations management experience
BS degree in operations management or a related field
In-depth knowledge of organisational effectiveness and operations management
Hands-on budget development and oversight experience is required.
Budgeting, forecasting, and metrics knowledge is required.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities
Outstanding organisational and time management abilities
Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly
Must be self-motivated and a great team worker
